A racing sanctioning body for stock cars founded by John Marcum in 1953. Based in Toledo, Ohio.
As the organization gained prestige, it obtained the nickname, "NASCAR of the North."
In 1964 the organization became known as the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA).
