It's been a busy & eventful few months at The Crittenden Automotive Library. It's summer car show season, and the big Delavan Duo (The Cars Time Forgot & Attack of the Plastic) are on the site now. While sitting in the air conditioning, patents have slowly been filtering through processing, and another big chunk of articles have brought the Library to over 14,200.
Other events include a Cub Scout Car Wash (in which future Library employee Eli was washing cars), the local Woodstock North High School Muscles for Muscles fundraiser car show, and a Quaker Streak & Lube Cruise Night from New Berlin, Wisconsin that is by far the farthest I've traveled for a cruise night.
In addition, our "social media" presence has been cleaned up and moved around. We have two Twitter accounts now, @CrittendenAuto for the updates to the Library itself, and @CrittendenAutoB is a news feed of links to automotive and racing information that can't be added to the Library (copyright).
Taking Heidi's suggestion, the brownish color that was supposed to evoke sepia tones is being removed to simplify design. There has also been progress made on updating old video player pages with broken download links.
Also, new sources should be coming online soon, including Matt Hubbard from
Speedmonkey.co.uk and two press release distributors. Offline I've been organizing binders of old automotive advertising and information and what I can share will start finding its way online soon as well.
