German Driver Ralf Schumacher Wins French Grand Prix

German driver Ralf Schumacher led the French Grand Prix from start to finish Sunday, completing the Formula One race in one hour, 30 minutes and 49.213 seconds to pick up his second straight win.

The victory gave the Williams-BMW team another 1-2 finish. It was Schumacher's sixth career victory and second this season. Schumacher's teammate, Juan Pablo Montoya of Colombia was second, 13.8 seconds off the winning pace.

Ralf's older brother, Michael Schumacher of Ferrari captured third place after spending most of the race running fifth. But he was able to move up when both McLaren Mercedes cars ahead of him had problems. McLaren drivers Kimi Raikkonen of Finland and British driver David Coulthard took fourth and fifth place respectively. Michael Schumacher still leads the overall drivers championship standings with 64 points, while Raikkonen has 56 and Ralf Schumacher is third with 53. Since June 1, the Williams team has won three of four races, with two 1-2 finishes to go along with a first and third and a second and third.
