2012 Race Season Begins…Finally

For Immediate Release

CHARLOTTE NC (March 29, 2012) – The wait is almost over for fifteen year old Garrett Marchant as his race season will officially begin this weekend at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, NC. This weekend the South East Limited Late Model Series will be racing at the NASCAR Home Track as they also kick-off their season. Marchant was originally going to start his season on March 3rd but Mother Nature was the real winner, washing out both Saturday and Sunday that weekend. Marchant will be competing in the Challenger Division which will be forty fast paced racing action laps at SNMP.

Marchant will have a different look this weekend when he goes to put his helmet over his head and climb into his No. 77 Lone Star Car Transportation Limited Late Model. He will be rewarding his fans that “liked” him on Facebook the past several months through a promise Marchant made to them. The promise was if he reached 2,000 “likes” by the start of his 2012 season he would dye his hair for that race. Marchant overwhelming reached this goal and will be dying his hair this weekend. To find out what color it will be, fans can monitor Garrett’s social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

“I’m pumped up for this weekend; this is the best car I have ever had. I am looking forward to a solid finish in only my second Late Model start, and first ever start at Southern National,” Marchant explained about racing this weekend. Garrett will also be having a booth at the track for fans to get involved in his racing. Garrett will be signing autographs after he qualifies at the booth where fans can register for his fan club as well as donate to his Racing 2 Cure efforts. Those who cannot attend the race can donate by visiting: racing2cure.org/drivers/GarrettMarchant.

It looks like a great weekend for some racing and the entire crew at BMR Motorsports is excited to get the season started with Garrett Marchant in the No. 77 lscautoshipping.com LLM. Fans can follow all the action by coming out to the track, or if they are unable to attend can follow Garrett's PR twitter account: @GMR77PR.
