LaGrange, N.C. (May 1, 2014) — Garrett Marchant, of LaGrange, N.C. is an up and coming, Southeast Limited Late Model series driver. Marchant started his racing career back in 2010, at age 13 racing in the Young Guns division. Four short weeks after starting his career, Marchant finds himself in victory lane at East Carolina Motor Speedway.

By 2011, Marchant was racing in the Pure Stock division at South Boston Speedway in Virginia, and Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, N.C., claiming two top-five and four top-ten finishes. After two years of hard work and dedication, Marchant starts his first race in the limited late model series.

As a full-time driver at Southern Motorsports Park, Marchant had fourteen starts, and seven top-ten finishes; earning him the tenth spot in division standings by the end of the 2012 season.

Just last year, Marchant decides to divide his time between the Charger division at Southern National and racing his limited late model.

Starting off the season with a great start at East Carolina Speedway, Marchant; 17 will start his fourth race of the 2014 season this Friday night. Marchant said "We've started the year off being fast, I expect that to continue. We are gonna win this year if it's the last thing I do. I hope it comes this weekend…”

After getting spun twice by the same driver while running second, Marchant had this to say; “…As far as controversy between Roberson and I last race. It's behind me, I've moved on, I'm ready to race.”

Marchant finished sixth last week after qualifying second; his best ever qualifying run.
