CHARLOTTE, NC (June 12, 2012) – This past weekend’s race at Southern National lasted only one lap for the driver of the No. 77 Lone Star Car Transportation / Walgreens of Chino Valley, AZ Chevrolet. Garrett Marchant from Roanoke Rapids, NC had a strong car for the 75 lap limited late model feature but did not get a chance to show it. Coming to the line to complete lap two Marchant got caught up in a wreck which ended his night.
“Tonight just didn’t go our way, things didn’t click, we were looking for at least a top seven. I didn’t get a chance to make a move to the front though. On the first lap I got caught up in a racing deal and now we have to move on. I don’t know when I will be back on the track as the car needs some work done to it. If you or your company would like to help me get back on the track sooner, please contact me. We will get your name on the car, website and lots more,” Marchant explained after a crash took him out on the first lap of seventy five.
Garrett Marchant qualified twelfth for that evening’s race and was coming off a strong sixth place finish in a Southeast Limited Late Model race. The next scheduled race will be on June 23, 2012 at Southern National, the team would like to make that race depending on how quickly they can get the car fixed.
