With a new year brings a new racing season to America’s premier stock car tuner racing series, ISCARS. The International Sport Compact Auto Racing Series sanctioned by the American Speed Association (ASA) is getting ready for a wide open schedule with exciting news being announced.

Round dates are starting to appear on the www.ISCARSonline.com site including the season opening race at ASA sanctioned track, Newport Speedway in Newport, TN. ISCARS made their first visit to Newport last season which turned into one of the most thrilling rounds of the year. Local Newport Speedway racer Bryan Pruett joined the field of regulars in the 2011 round and posted a top five finish.

During the off season a series of driver interview titled, WIDE OPEN 24/7, have been posted on the ISCARS website. The interviews give fans an inside look at the lives of the series’ drivers as they reflect and prepare for the 2012 season. Joey Jones and Nick Martin are among those stories already told while Robert Tighe III and Mike Guerity are eager to share their plans for a full season with ISCARS.
