DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (February 15, 2012) - - After dabbling around with a two-car entry in 2011, Carter-2-Motorsports has picked up a head of steam and will head to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (DIS) for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season-opener as a three-car team for Saturday’s running of the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200.

C2M, short for Carter-2-Motorsports will hoist a veteran driver and debut two rookies who will entangle the high-banks of the “World Center of Racing” for the first of 20 races this season.

“We’re extremely proud of our driver line-up,” said Carter-2-Motorsports team principal Roger Carter. “We’re thrilled to have an amateur driver like Donnie Neuenberger lead our parade and bring two talented drivers in Larry Barford Jr. and Michael Bockler into the ARCA Racing Series. Honestly, we’ve poured our heart and soul into all three cars and believe we can solidly get them into the show. We know it’s going to be a tough show and we’re considered “underdogs” by many, but we’re here to prove that we can make big things happen on a small budget.”

Neuenberger will pilot the No. 40 Ron Paul for President / El Caribe Dodge Charger. Despite over 60 starts in three of NASCAR’s divisions, the Brandywine, Maryland native will look to make his inaugural ARCA Racing Series start at DIS.

“I’ve done a lot of racing at Daytona in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series but never in an ARCA car; I’m looking forward to the opportunity with C2M,” offered Neuenberger.

C2M is endorsing Paul as his message is to “Restore America Now.” Congressman Ron Paul of Texas enjoys a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today. Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman in Washington for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. He is known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives.

Dr. Paul’s consistent voting record prompted one Congressman to comment that “Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers’ ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are.” Another Congresswoman added that “There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few.”

Carrying backing from First (1st) Mariner Bank and Trauma Doc, veteran Late Model driver Larry Barford Jr. will lead the second entry for the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team. The Denton, Maryland native will also make his first start on the high-banks of Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. The ARCA rookie who tested for the team in December will run a limited schedule for C2M in 2012.

“You can feel the vibes of this place when you climb into the car; that’s how enchanting Daytona International Speedway is. Everyone says the same thing; it’s incredible to know that you’re going to be racing at Daytona. First, we have to make the show; but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem for our No. 04 First (1st) Mariner Bank / Trauma Doc Dodge Charger. I can’t begin to thank them enough for their support and really making this possible. We’ll just take this three-day show one day at a time and hope for the best.”

The third and final entry for Carter-2-Motorsports in Central Florida will be piloted by Charlotte, North Carolina resident Michael Bockler. The word piloted is fitted for ARCA’s newest face as the driver of the No. 67 Ambucs Dodge Charger retired from a successful career as a pilot to build a presence on the race track. Bockler also tackled the facility two months ago to better equip him towards making the starting grid for the 43-car field.

“This is huge for me,” offered Bockler. “If you’re a racer, you dream of racing at Daytona and my dream is coming true. I can’t begin to thank everyone at C2M for the opportunity and for their unbelievable dedication and support towards making my ARCA debut a reality. Hopefully, we can have a smooth weekend and earn some respect.”

Carter added, “One of the benefits we’ve found about having a multi-car team is that our guys are willing to help each other out and it’s not a race against each other. We all want all three cars into the race. We’re proud to be aligned with Markle Racing, who will join us on a technical side this weekend at Daytona. Everything’s come together nicely; we just need to see the checkered flag on Saturday afternoon and all will be right with the world.”

Danny Esposito, a native of Loxahatchee, Florida will forgo his Daytona attempt to concentrate on future ARCA Racing Series events at Salem (Ind.) Speedway and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April and May. He, will however be on-sight next week to support and gain priceless experience towards the fundamentals of not only C2M but restrictor plate racing as a whole.

The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona (80 laps / 200 miles) is the first of 20 events on the 2012 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The 49th ARCA race held at Daytona is a three-day show. Practice begins Thursday, February 16 with a four hour practice session planned from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell is set for Friday, February 17 slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. A forty-five minute final practice session is etched in on Saturday, February 18th from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. The event will take the green flag later that day shortly after 4:30 p.m. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage including live timing and scoring and radio broadcast through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com. All times are local. ARCA, celebrating its 60th season in 2012 is the preamble for the highly anticipated Budweiser Shootout for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) set to ignite under the lights later that night.
