TOLEDO, Ohio (May 13, 2009) - - Fresh off his best finish of the season, ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Robb Brent is eager to head to Toledo Speedway this weekend and look for his first top-five and quite possibly his first career win in Sunday’s Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care.

Last Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway, Brent in the No. 36 Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dodge Charger maneuvered nicely from his starting position based on car owner points to record a well-deserved eighth place finish.

Hoping that the finish was a sign that things are starting to turn around for the Justin Allgaier Motorsports (JAM) team, Brent and company head to Toledo Speedway looking for an even better finish.

“The run at Kentucky was exactly what we needed,” said Brent. “I know this team is capable of producing runs like this each and every week and if we can keep the mechanical gremlins off our back, we’re going to be fine.”

Brent, the Shelby, Township Michigan native will make his fifth career start at Toledo Speedway Sunday but he is also desperately searching for his first top-10 run at the Northern Ohio half-mile oval.

“I enjoy racing on the short tracks but my luck at Toledo hasn’t been so hot,” sounded Brent. “I’ve always had good cars there but just haven’t been able to finish the races. We will this weekend for sure.”

And if there’s a team that can put Brent’s bad finishes in the rear-view mirror, JAM might just be the team. In the ARCA season finale last year, JAM stormed to victory lane with Justin Allgaier capitalizing on the run to secure his first ever driver’s championship. Now Brent wants to keep that tradition going.

“To win on Sunday would be great yet important to me for many reasons,” Brent spoke. “This team and my sponsor have put their faith in me to go out there and try and win races every week. That’s exactly what I am going to try and do.”

With the finish at Kentucky, Brent rose to 14th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series driver standings. The move was a step in the right direction as Brent is aiming to end the season in the top-10.

“If we keep finishing like we did at Kentucky, we’re going to be in the top-10 come year’s end,” acknowledged Brent, who will continue his studies at Northwood University pursing his Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Marketing / Business Management while negotiating a 21-race schedule in ARCA. “We’ll just keep plugging along.”

Washington Township, Michigan based Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep will continue it’s long-time association with Brent and serve as the primary sponsor on Brent’s No. 36 Dodge Charger this weekend. Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep has backed Brent since his entrance into racing at the age of 16.

Prior to joining Justin Allgaier Motorsports, Brent participated in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving for NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski and Brad Keselowski Racing. In his 21 ARCA starts, Brent has acquired two top-five finishes and seven top-10 efforts. Brent notched his career best qualifying effort of second at Kentucky Speedway last year. He has led the ARCA RE/MAX Series pack twice for 21 laps in 2008. His best finish in the NCWTS occurred at Nashville Superspeedway in his inaugural truck debut where he finished 21st after qualifying 26th.

The Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care (200 laps / 100 miles) is the sixth of 22 events on the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The 65th ARCA race at Toledo Speedway is a two-day show. Practice begins Saturday, May 16 with an hour and a half practice session planned from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Menards Pole by Ansell qualifying is set for later in the day slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. The event will take the green flag on Sunday, May 17th shortly after 2:00 p.m. The event will not be televised but the race will be broadcasted live through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com. All times are local.
