Sheltra Motorsports, Salem Speedway Pre-Race Quotes: Patrick Sheltra, driver of the No. 60 Ferguson Pipe Enterprises-FloraGanics Chevrolet:
On Daytona: “Daytona was good and bad. We were really luck to miss the “big one” but unfortunately were collected in another incident late in the race. We were able to recover and notch a solid finish. The good news is that we learned a lot and should be even better on the next restrictor plate race at Talladega Superspeedway in October.”
On Salem Speedway : “What a place. Salem Speedway is a track that really you can’t describe. It’s a fun place to race if you are running good. Handling is critical and staying out of trouble is the key element. It’s a track that you can combine Bristol Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway. The fans are in for a real treat this weekend. There’s no hiding that.”
On The Recent Test: “The test went pretty good. We’re bringing a car that we’ve never raced at Salem before, so it was important for us to test and get a good foundation on what this car will do. The team made some changes and I’m confident that we’ll be strong right off the truck this weekend.”
On 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Season: “As a team, we really have high hopes for the season. We’re off to a much better start than last season. However this season is going to be extremely competitive and we have to be on top of our game to be sure we’re prepared for the unexpected. I have a lot of faith in my Sheltra Motorsports team, we just a need luck along the way to keep us in the championship hunt.”
