BP Amoco p.l.c. (which was created by the merger of British Petroleum Company, p.l.c. and Amoco Corporation) has submitted an application to divest retail assets in eight markets, where both firms operated retail stations, to Tosco Corporation. The divestitures are required under the terms of a consent order made final by the FTC on April 19, 1999.
