30 December 1998BP/AMOCO Agree to Divest Gas Stations and Terminals to Satisfy FTC Antitrust Concerns
The British Petroleum Company and Amoco Corporation have agreed to make certain divestitures and to free up more than 1,600 gas stations in 30 markets in order to satisfy Federal Trade Commission concerns that their merger would substantially lessen competition in certain wholesale gasoline markets.
