Formula One driver Michael Schumacher led from start to finish Sunday, as he drove his Ferrari to victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

It was the German driver's 50th victory for Ferrari and 69th in his career. Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya was the runner-up, more than 5 seconds back in a Williams-BMW, while Schumacher's teammate Rubens Barrichello of Brazil, was third.

Schumacher completed the 53 lap course at the Monza circuit in one hour, 14 minutes and 19.838 seconds.

The victory extended Schumacher's lead over Montoya in the drivers' standings to three points with two races remaining. Finland's Kimi Raikkonen, now seven points behind in the world title race, took fourth place.
