Formula One Chief Uncertain About Korean Grand Prix

VOA Breaking News
September 26, 2010 at 9:05 pm

Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone has admitted there are questions about whether the Korean Grand Prix will run as scheduled on October 24.

Speaking at the Singapore Grand Prix Sunday, Ecclestone said he was still hopeful the race would be held. But he said the Yeongam track did not pass an inspection that was supposed to be completed 90 days before hosting the event. The inspection was initially scheduled for September 21.

Ecclestone says the race’s fate will remain in doubt until it passes the upcoming FIA inspection, which is now set for October 10 – just 11 days before practice laps for the race are to begin.
