The Flying Lap, Episode 40: Japanese GP Debrief; Korean GP Preview
October 12, 2011
Duration: 1:07:12
In Ep 40 of The Flying Lap this week we'll be covering a lot of ground as we look back at the Japanese GP and ahead to Korea with two F1 experts from very different parts of the world. Live from Melbourne, Australia, where he will have just stepped off the flight from Nagoya, the highly-acclaimed Australian journalist, Matthew Clayton, will be giving us his personal view of events in Suzuka. Matt has worked for the Australian Grand Prix Corporation for several years, is close to Mark Webber and happens also to be a tennis and cricket writer/author in his spare time. Then, live from the SpeedTV studios in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sean Kelly will be looking back, as a statistician, at the achievements of the 2010/11 World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, and his formidable Red Bull Racing team. A closet Aussie V8 fan, we're sure Sean will also have something to say about the Bathurst race that took place just before (and into, time-wise!) the Japanese GP. As a special bonus, we will also be meeting Al Gibson at the ArtLondon Fair, where recently he exhibted his amazing, F1-inspired carbon sculptures. Chief Mechanic at BAR-Honda when Jenson Button won his first F1 race, Al also has plenty to say about Jenson's most recent of Grand Prix victories.

The Flying Lap, Episode 86: Japanese GP Debrief; Korean GP Preview
October 11, 2012
Duration: 1:08:36
Why were McLaren strangely off the pace in Japan? Can LotusF1 make the big breakthrough? And - probably most important of all - can Ferrari squeeze a little bit of extra pace from the F2012 and thus keep Fernando Alonso on top of the World Drivers' Championship? All these questions and more will be answered by our special guest this week - the inimitable Craig Scarborough, fresh from his recent trip to the Singapore GP and brimful of all the latest technical developments and trends. Craig will be joining me live in the studio as we go through the F1 teams in detail - pausing regularly, of course, to take viewers' questions. We'll also be featuring our regular pre-race analysis from WilliamsF1's Strategy Engineer, Mark Barnett. Fresh from two reliable runs in Japan, and a points finish for Pastor Maldonado, Mark will be talking us through the very different circuit characteristics in Korea.

The Flying Lap, Episode 87: Korean GP Debrief, live from Silverstone
October 18, 2012
Duration: 1:07:36
We'll be bringing you a special edition of The Flying Lap this week - live from Silverstone, where WilliamsF1 will be staging a day for team Partners, the media and other lucky invitees. Pastor Maldonado, Bruno Senna and Valtteri Bottas will be on hand to drive "hot laps" with guests in Renault road cars - and there will be plenty of Williams F1 cars on active service, too, including an FW08, an FW18 and last year's FW33. Susie Wolff will also be having her first taste of F1 power; and there'll be plenty of chat - you can be sure - about Sunday's Korean GP. It wasn't a great one for Williams but the energy of that race - of the title fight between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso; of Felipe Massa's contract renewal; and of Ferrari's driver line-up from 2014 onwards - will be there for us to savour. Join us, then, on the F1 fan's Ultimate Day Out. Not everyone will be fortunate enough to be present but on The Flying Lap we'll be endeavouring to take you as close as possible to the heart of the day (at the slightly earlier start time of 5:30UK).
