This is a story book I illustrated towards the middle of first grade. That would have made it the end of 1986 or the beginning of 1987. Memories are a bit fuzzy from back then but it appears to be something I came up with, although the handwriting is obviously not mine. So apparently I was supposed to write about a snowflake and of course, being a bit car-obsessed even at that age I had to incorporate a car into the story...and since I did I'm putting it in the Library.

The fun thing for me is seeing in the picture of the big wheel about to roll over the little house is the dartboard of colors, and my son Elijah, who just turned 8 as I write this, illustrates things in much the same way, with a lot of random colors. If this is any indication of his future, he will have zero art talent...just like his dad.
