Event Profile
The following section is from a 2004 press release.
The event was started in 1996 by a few Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts who
met on the Internet. It was originally an event for Camaros and Firebirds only but over the years due to participant demand, it has evolved into a friendly event for all domestic General Motors vehicles. The event is not affiliated with or hosted by General Motors Corporation. Jason Debler, co-founder of CamaroZ28.Com, has been managing the event since 1998.
