A line of cars produced by Zastava, a formerly Yugoslavian company (now Serbian), for export from 1978-2008.
While the car is usually collectively known as the "Yugo," there were actually several different models of the car. Yugo started in the United States in 1986 with the entry-level GV, the similar GVL and GVS, and performance GVX. In 1988, the Cabrio was introduced. In 1990, the GV and GVL were replaced by the GV Plus.
