Libraries are more than books and newspapers and printed material. Wikipedia says that "modern libraries are increasingly being redefined as places to get unrestricted access to information in many formats and from many sources." For the purpose of organizing The Crittenden Automotive Library the Multimedia section consists of audio and video recordings and "Event Photography."

CarsAndRacingStuff.com was originally supposed to be an online collectibles store, and The Crittenden Automotive Library grew out of this starting with collections of photographs from the Chicago Auto Show and other local events. While other photographers from around the world have contributed their collections or licensed them for our use, our original Event Photography from northwest of Chicago and southern Wisconsin is a treasure trove of exclusive reference photographs not seen anywhere else on the internet.

Audio recordings include podcasts, audio book readings, interviews, and radio shows. Video includes original clips exclusive to The Crittenden Automotive Library as well as NHTSA crash tests, classic sponsored newsreels, government instructional films, and a few television commercials.

A full year-by-year index of most of the multimedia in The Crittenden Automotive Library appears on the Home Page, except for a few pieces for which an exact release date cannot be determined, which are shown below.
